Money matters
Two Rivers is a not-for-profit organisation, providing low-cost homes to rent.
We generally charge 20% less than private landlords and you don’t need a deposit to secure your home. Your rent and other charges mostly cover the cost of providing our service. Together, they make up 95% of our total income. The rest of our money comes from loans and grants.
We don’t have shareholders so any surplus at the end of the year goes straight back into the business, funding improvements and new developments for the benefit of our tenants and the communities in which they live. The information on the following pages will tell you:
- How your rent is calculated.
- Service charges that can apply.
- How to pay your rent and any other charges.
- How we can help if you’re having difficulty paying your rent.
- Where to go for help if you’re experiencing financial hardship.
- How to claim Universal Credit.
- How to buy contents insurance.
- How you could reduce the cost of your fuel bills.
