Equality and diversity
Two Rivers Housing is firmly committed to equal access, opportunity, inclusion and participation across the organisation and we reflect this within our policies, procedures and day-to-day working practices.
Our aim is that no employee, job applicant or service recipient receives less favourable treatment on the grounds of sex, marital status, disability, race, colour, nationality, ethnic origin, religion, dependents or age. Nor will they be placed at a disadvantage by imposed conditions or requirements that cannot be justified.
So, how do we show our commitment?
- We are a ‘Disability Confident employer’. This Department for Work and Pensions scheme recognises employers who agree to action five commitments regarding the employment, retention, training and career development of disabled employees. It also means that if you are disabled you are guaranteed an interview, provided you meet the minimum criteria for the job you have applied for.
- Our Equality and Diversity Policy reflects our values and provides a framework through which we fulfill our obligations.
- Our Equality, Diversity and Inclusion statement sets out how we will improve our knowledge and approach to ED&I across the Group.
- Access to services
- All our communications are available in large print, CD or translated into another language, if requested.
- We offer “˜language line’ and “˜text talk’ interpreter service.
- Hearing loops are provided within our offices and portable units are available for use elsewhere.
- Our offices have disabled parking spaces, level access toilet facilities, a lift and large doorways and entrances for wheelchair access.
