Storm Bert: Team updates
Updated 19:40pm 24 November 2024
Rivers Meet Office
We have assessed the roads around Rivers Meet office the office will be open as usual on Monday, 25 November 2024. However, with several roads in and out of the Forest currently closed or impassable, we ask everyone to check local road conditions before traveling into work in the morning.
If you feel traveling to the office is unsafe or there’s a risk of getting stuck, please don’t take any chances—stay home and work remotely.
Repairs Team
Team leaders will speak with you first thing in the morning to assess road conditions and the areas where jobs are booked. We want to ensure we can support tenants who may need our help, but we will do this in a planned way to ensure your safety. We may need to reprioritise some jobs to focus on tenants who need emergency work or support.
- Please only travel to jobs if it is safe to do so and contact your team leader if you have any issues getting to a job.
Field-Based Teams
Before heading out to appointments, please check local highway updates. If you cannot safely travel, talk to your line manager.
- If you need to cancel an appointment, please inform the tenant directly. This will ease pressure on our contact centre, which may be managing a high volume of storm-related calls.
Our Homes
Our emergency response team has been working hard to monitor and address the impact of the storm.
- Two homes have unfortunately flooded, and both tenants have been safely relocated.
- A few other homes are at risk of flooding, and we are closely monitoring these situations.
We will continue to update this page as needed over the coming days.
Thank You
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who has responded to out-of-hours calls today. Your quick actions have provided crucial support and reassurance to our tenants, and your efforts are truly appreciated.
Stay safe and thank you for all that you’re doing.
